This breakthrough, all-in-one product combines cellulases, hemicellulases and beta-glucosidases to unlock both xylan and glucan. Specifically engineered enzyme activities reduce product inhibition and allow performance across broad operating conditions, including simultaneous saccharification and fermentation.
Accellerase® TRIO™ works with a range of pretreatment chemistry including dilute ammonia, dilute acid, ammonia fiber expansion and steam expansion. As part of a complete cellulosic ethanol process, Accellerase® TRIO™ boosts yields by lowering viscosity of the substrate and enabling high-solids loading.
In lab, pilot and demo-scale tests, Accellerase® TRIO™ performs hydrolysis with half the dose that earlier enzyme formulations require. Exact dosing of Accellerase® TRIO™ will depend on the specific pretreatment configuration and biomass characteristics.
